Services – Consulting
Greg Wilson Consulting provides distinctive, tailored consulting services on financial services policy and regulatory issues. Leveraging more than 30 years experience in Washington, DC, for both private and public sector clients, my current focus is on the new regulatory reality, which includes both immediate U.S. and G20 issues in the continuing aftershock of the global financial crisis as well as the long-term competiveness of financial markets.
Recent client engagements include:
• Developing a regulatory strategy for a large non-bank financial institution to respond to the Dodd-Frank Act (Title I – financial stability designation);
• Advising a large regional bank, foreign bank, and national mortgage company, among others, on implications of the new regulatory reality;
• Serving as an external adviser to the Financial Services Roundtable’s Financial Stability Industry Council (2010) and its Commission on Financial Competitiveness (2007);
• Advising a small financial center on a post-crisis global strategy;
• Advising a foreign bank on regulatory implications of a U.S. retail entry strategy to take advantage of a consolidating marketplace; and
• Advising several hedge funds on political and regulatory implications during the Dodd-Frank Act legislative deliberations.
